Review of Losing Mum and Pup mentions new Horowitz Book

I have a review of Christopher Buckley's Losing Mum and Pup: A Memoir here at American Thinker. My conclusion has a preview of David Horowitz's new book, A Cracking of the Heart, that's coming out this fall. It has a similar theme -- exploring the life of a family member who has died -- but goes about it in an entirely different style.

Both books are must-reads that I enjoyed tremendously.

Coming soon: Inspired by Jamie Glazov's United In Hate I've reread some of Horowitz's Unholy Alliance and am planning a post about it soon discussing the Left.

I enjoyed your review. Disagree totally with the people who don't like kids telling the truth about their parents.

The commenters claim that their individualism will protect them against hero worship -- but, you know what? -- people do tend to idealize leaders and the kids are often the only ones who can supply a well-rounded portrait.

It's very important to have a well-rounded portrait of someone who is usually the object of praise. Every individualist should realize that.
